Topic: The Frog & the Prince
For those of you that opened this topic just now and expected reading a fable.. well, I'm sorry for those that wished it was, but, this is not one of them.

Though princes and frogs do have a long association through story telling, the frog in this "story" symbolizes something different. It's a symbol for the world's rainforests.. a symbol against climate change.

You're probably asking yourselves now.. but how then does a Prince appear in this story? Well, if there's a frog in this story, eventually there has to be a prince, right?

The initiative builds on the Prince of Wales 30 year long history of involvement in environmental issues. Yet, the focal point of the PRP since it was founded in 2007 has been to develop consensus on how to slow tropical deforestation.

PRINCE CHARLES; is well known for his initiatives for environmentalist issues. He is also considered as one of the foremost activists in;organic faming. His, Prince's Rainforest Project comes as a major leap in his philanthropic activities, I remember quoting in one of the group of hi5 about his initiatives for Rainforest conservation through photography, through which I got to know about his PRP project; The Prince's Rainforests Project Award

The above information adds to the updates further, THANKS FOR SHARING

Thanks LC for posting this "royal" cause. I was reading a bit the Prince's Rainforest Project website and my first impression is it is very clear and concise about climate change. and there is a sense of humility about the awareness ad and the famous personalities themselves, they are very genuine and authentique with the message they deliver. I really love it but all I can do for now is sign up to give my support. I'll read more later. === Original Message === The initiative builds on the Prince of Wales 30 year long history of involvement in environmental issues. When the forests are burnt, it releases all of the CO2 they have stored back into the atmosphere as if it never existed. The forests are also home to many animals as well as people and their livelihood, their fate, as well as ours, relies on how the forests are managed.

It's crucial that we deal with this issue now, in the correct way, because the forest and its habitat that has existed for so many years can't be replaced to its fullest even if we plant new trees in the same place. The question is; how many areas of untouched forest will we have in the future?

As Prince Charles puts it, time is simply not on our side. And if nothing is ventured now, nothing is gained. But who better to say this than the Prince himself:
